Welcome to the MTB Tour Garda blog

I'm Lex — a certified mountain bike guide based in Riva del Garda. After 15+ years in the mountains and a few thousand kilometres of singletrack around Lake Garda, I started this blog to share what I see every week on the trails.

What you'll find here

Short, honest posts written from the saddle. No fluff, no SEO filler — just things I'd tell a friend planning their first ride around Garda.

  • Trail reports after riding specific routes (Tremalzo, Monte Altissimo, Monte Casale, Bocca di Trat, Monte Stivo…)
  • Seasonal advice: when to come, what the trails look like in April vs October
  • Gear notes: what actually matters on these trails, what doesn't
  • Practical answers to the questions guests ask me again and again

Why Lake Garda is special for MTB

Where else can you climb 1000 m on a forest road, descend on a flowy singletrack with a 3000-year-old lake view, and finish the day with espresso on the harbour? The variety here — from beginner-friendly Brione loops to alpine Carone rides — is hard to beat anywhere in Europe.

If you're planning a trip, take a look at the tours on the site or just message me on WhatsApp (+39 388 571 8535). New posts coming soon.
