With a guide vs. solo
Lake Garda has hundreds of trails — and most riders waste their first day searching, hitting closed sections or descending the wrong way down a one-way trail.
A local guide picks the right route for the day's weather and your level, handles logistics (shuttle, rental, lunch stops) and shows you the spots tourists miss.
Frequently asked questions
Where does MTB Riva del Garda start?
All tours start in Riva del Garda, Torbole or Arco — northern Lake Garda. We meet at our trusted local bike shop.
When is the best season for mountain biking around Lake Garda?
March to early November. April–June and September–October are the best months — mild temperatures, dry trails and long daylight.
Do I need my own bike?
No. We arrange MTB and e-bike rental from a trusted local shop in Riva del Garda.
Can beginners join an MTB tour in Riva del Garda?
Yes. Routes are adapted to your level — from easy lake-shore rides (Monte Brione, Bagattoli) to advanced enduro descents.
What languages do you speak?
English, Italian and Russian.
What do the difficulty levels mean?
Easy: bike paths and smooth gravel, no experience needed. Intermediate: confident riding on gravel mountain roads, no MTB experience required. Advanced: prior mountain riding experience and comfort on long rocky descents. Full details on our Difficulty Levels page.
Do your tours include technical singletrack?
No. Some tours have easy trail sections, but I don't guide technical singletrack: I can't assess a rider's level remotely, and I won't take safety risks with terrain that demands skills I haven't seen. For technical riding, a bike park or skills instructor is the better format.
